Jim Cushing- Director of the California Challenge
“The
California Challenge will facilitate entrant’s
direct access into the
California
economy, its employers and venture funds.
As the Former Chairman of
Next
Generation
Cities
and a finalist in the 2000 Stockholm Challenge in
the New Economy category, I experienced first hand
what an event of this caliber can bring to global
innovators and entrepreneurs. The use of information
technology in major metro and urban areas in
California
and around the world will create new jobs and open
doors to advance innovations, which will have a
direct economy impact in their locale and increase
the quality of life for all citizens”. Join the
California Challenge- Break the mold- Its your
world!
We are currently assembling an international jury
pool to review and evaluate the projects submitted.
If you would like to participate as a jurist please
send us an e-mail regarding your interest and
background working in the business or academic
world. We are looking for individuals who
possess a high touch understanding of the use
and potential of technology in society. The original
support of the California Challenge has come from a
diverse group of innovators and educators. To each
and everyone of them we give much thanks for
supporting this initiative. The names of those whose
contributions have been invaluable can be found

Alphonso Molina Director of the Global
Junior Challenge
"I
believe the California Challenge will not only
benefit the citizens, businesses, and indeed many
other organizations and cities across the state of
California,” said Alfonso Molina, Professor
of Technology Strategy at the University of
Edinburgh and Former Chairman of the international
juries of the Stockholm Challenge Award and Current
Chairman of Rome's Global Junior Challenge.
“It will offer a major platform for sharing experiences, mobilizing
energies, celebrating success and, above all, help
government, the private sector and citizens to learn
and build together the future"..
